Of course, this amount does not compare with the whopping $270,000 that he won 15 years ago at the same venue. However, it still attracted public attention.

The 32-year-old made headlines in 2004 when he put all his life savings on the red. Revell sold all that he had and added his savings to bet with $135,300. Considering that the odds were less than 50, he was taking a risk that only a few would.

Fortunately, the roulette ball fell on Red 7, helping Revell carry home $270,000. Sky One, a British TV show, aired the bet together with the sensational win. Consequently, millions of people all over the world have seen the event for years on the Internet. The historic bet influenced Simon Cowell’s Red and Black reality show.

15 years later, Revell went back to the Plaza (on November 2) to bet on the single 0 roulette table. The novel game is the only one in downtown Las Vegas. Additionally, the Plaza launched the Red 7 single 0 roulette promotion that ran all the way to November 7.
