During his trial, Stapleton referred to himself as a “psycho” and regularly laughed and grinned in the dock. Furthermore, it has been claimed that his brother scooped up £900,000 top prize on a £40-a-spin mobile gambling app after winning the lottery.

Moreover, his aunt Mandy Burgess also got lucky in 2012 when she pocketed a huge amount that was up to £1million on a Special Olympics Lottery draw. It is also believed that her late husband was the crime boss named Damian Noonan who died back in 2003 and she was also the sister-in-law of gangster Domenyk Noonan.

A relative declined to comment at their home in Ordsall, Gtr Manchester. A £70,000 Range Rover Sport and also a £40,000 BMW 5 Series was seen to be parked outside the social housing property, covered in CCTV cameras.

An authority also said: “This family is full of criminals and killers. But they seem to have all the luck when it comes to the lottery and gambling. It is truly infuriating.” Stapleton was jailed for life because of the sickening murder of Anuj. Following the verdict, Mr Bidve’s father Subhash said that Stapleton had “openly laughed at the memory of our son” and believed that the killer should never be released from prison. Mr Justice King told Stapleton that: “In my own judgment, this was no reckless act on your part. It was a piece of cold-blooded controlled attack.” He considered the defendant as “a highly dangerous young man”.

The judge said he had been convicted of the cold-blooded murder “in the most harrowing of circumstances.” When he told dock officers to take Stapleton to the cells, the killer, his hands clasped in front of him, bowed his head in acknowledgement and walked away without showing any emotions.

In addition, Detective Chief Superintendent Mary Doyle said: Anuj’s family have got the verdict that they deserved. I have spoken to the family and while they remain grief-stricken that nothing can bring Anuj back, they are very pleased that Stapleton will not even be eligible for parole until he is in his fifties. “On behalf of myself and all my team, I would like to pay tribute to the dignity that Anuj’s family has shown. They had to sit through 5 weeks of harrowing evidence but at least today they have seen justice done.”
